Reverend Erik B. Eure
Founding Pastor
With heavy heart and deep love, we share the passing of Pastor Erik B. Eure, a beloved husband, father, pastor, leader, and veteran.
Pastor Eure poured out all that he had to leave a legacy of love, faith, and service. From his time serving our country as a Marine during the Persian Gulf War to more than two decades of faithful pastoral leadership, he lived a life marked by sacrifice, conviction and deep devotion to God, his family, and to people. He was a guiding light, a covering to many, and a vessel through which countless lives were impacted.
There are no words that can fully carry the weight of this loss, but we stand together in love, unity, and prayer. We thank God for His promise that He has prepared a place for us, and as we honor Pastor Eure's eternal rest, we find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his beloved daughter Gabrielle Nicole, who transitioned on February 7, 2026.
We would like to thank everyone for your prayers and support in the days ahead.

Reverend Dr. Twiggy Meshele Eure
Co-Founder & Senior Pastor-Elect
"Then I will give you shepherds after my own heart, who will lead you with knowledge and understanding." Jeremiah 3:15
Born and raised in Syracuse, NY, Pastor Dr. Twiggy M. Eure (yes, Twiggy is her real birth name, and the last name is pronounced 'your') will openly share how God's love embraced her and restored her life after graduating from high school and giving birth to her son. Equipped with her own testimony and always a “church girl,” her early childhood membership and involvement began at the New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, People’s AME Zion Church, and after a little more than 10 years of faithful service at the Second Olivet Missionary Baptist Church (where she met and married her husband), she co-founded The Promise Land Church alongside her late husband, Pastor Erik B. Eure (August 7, 1969 – March 21, 2026) in February 2002.
Pastor Twiggy's love and dedication to God, her husband, family, ministry, and career are evident. After obtaining her ministerial license at The Promise Land Church on Saturday, June 10, 2006 and after faithfully serving for 10 years, she was licensed and ordained as a pastor on Friday, September 14, 2012. One of her favorite scriptures is 2 Corinthians 12:9. “And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.”
She is the Founder of the "On the Move" Conference and received a proclamation from the Syracuse Mayor and County Executive that deemed the 2nd weekend of September as the "On the Move" Conference weekend in the City of Syracuse. Additionally, Pastor Eure is a certified Life Coach and has contracted with organizations as the owner of On the Move Coaching and Professional Services, that have allowed her to empower, train, and coach over 4000 people since 2002. Graced and anointed for ministry and a unique ability to meet people where they are, treating them with dignity and respect while sharing hope with them, allows her to passionately empower, inspire, and share the gift of hope to people from all walks of life.
Pastor Twiggy attributes her greatest accomplishments to the life she shared with her favorite Marine Veteran and best friend, Pastor Erik B. Eure and their children. Together, they raised five anointed, gifted, remarkable, ministry-serving, college educated young adults. Family Pastor & Navy Veteran, Marquis (wife Nicole), their precious oldest daughter Gabrielle who transitioned to be with the Lord (February 18, 1995 - February 6, 2026), Sydni, and Camryn.
Pastor Twiggy believes in preparation and is a life-long learner. She received her associate's degree (Bryant & Stratton College), bachelor's degree (SUNY Oswego), and master's degree (Syracuse University).
